River location: Head of navigation for hire craft on the River Bure
Facilities: Visitor moorings 1 mile east from the village (24hr Free). No other facilities. Petrol in village.
A one mile walk from the visitor moorings, west along the B1354, takes you past a Thai restaurant to the village where there is a store, petrol station and pubs. It is not recommended that you progress past the moorings, you can turn here, as the river becomes shallow and narrow and turning is difficult. RAF Coltishall is a mile away and St Johns Church is in the village. The moorings sit beside a pleasant common, frequented by ducks, and bounded by the river, the pub, and the road. The river can be shallow in places and is a favourite spot for anglers. The bank is grassy, often covered in duck droppings, and the surrounding land can flood.
